US Authorities Arrest Wanted Gangsters Himanshu Bhau and Neeraj Faridpuria

Two Indian gangsters, Himanshu Bhau and Neeraj Faridpuria, who are wanted in connection with several criminal cases in India, have reportedly been arrested in the United States. The arrests mark a significant development in efforts by Indian law enforcement agencies to track fugitives suspected of involvement in organised crime. According to media reports, the two men were detained in the Las Vegas area on October 22 following inputs shared by Indian agencies. US immigration authorities are reportedly handling their detention as Indian officials explore the legal procedures required to bring them back to India.
Himanshu Bhau, also known as Himanshu Ritoliya, is originally from Haryana's Rohtak district. He is wanted in connection with multiple serious criminal cases, including murder, attempted murder, extortion and criminal intimidation. An Interpol Red Notice was issued against him in 2023 to help international law enforcement agencies locate him.
Investigators have alleged that Bhau continued to maintain links with a criminal network operating in northern India while staying abroad. His name has surfaced in investigations into shootings and extortion-related incidents, although the allegations remain subject to legal proceedings. Neeraj Faridpuria, also known as Neeraj Kaushik in some reports, is another wanted accused from Haryana. He has been linked to several criminal cases, including murder and alleged connections with organised crime networks. His name also surfaced in the investigation into the 2019 killing of Congress leader Vikas Chaudhary in Faridabad.
The reported arrests are expected to draw attention to the role of international cooperation in tracking fugitives accused of operating criminal networks across borders. Indian agencies have reportedly been coordinating with US authorities over the next steps in the cases. The process of bringing the two men to India could involve immigration proceedings or other applicable legal procedures, depending on the circumstances of their detention. Deportation and extradition follow different legal processes, and the exact route will depend on the decisions of the relevant authorities.
As of the latest available reports, a confirmed date for their return to India has not been announced. Further developments are expected as officials determine the legal steps required to proceed with the cases. The reported arrests represent a potential breakthrough for investigators pursuing cases against the two men. However, their transfer to India and the progress of the criminal proceedings will depend on the completion of the necessary legal formalities.
