Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Thursday chaired a Civil–Military Liaison Conference in Hyderabad. According to the Chief Minister’s Office, he urged Army officials to appoint special officers to address long-pending matters such as land allotments and approvals for Sainik Schools through regular consultations.

Emphasising the state government’s commitment to supporting the armed forces and strengthening national security, the Chief Minister noted that Telangana has already allotted 3,000 acres of land in Vikarabad for the establishment of a low-frequency Navy radar station. He reiterated that unresolved issues should be taken up through sustained dialogue and coordinated efforts, the CMO said.

Meanwhile, Army Day is observed annually on January 15 to mark the historic occasion in 1949 when Field Marshal KM Cariappa assumed command of the Indian Army from British Commander-in-Chief General Sir FRR Bucher, becoming the first Indian Commander-in-Chief of independent India. The Defence Minister conveyed greetings to Army personnel and their families on the 78th Army Day, praising their bravery, sacrifices, and steadfast dedication to protecting the nation’s sovereignty and integrity.

The 78th Army Day celebrations were held in Jaipur, Rajasthan, and were attended by Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi, and several other dignitaries. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, Governor Haribhau Bagde, BJP Rajasthan President Madan Rathore, and many others were also present at the event.
