Samsung Galaxy S26 FE Expected to Debut on August 27: Key Specs and Features Revealed

Samsung is preparing to host its next Galaxy Event on August 27, where it is expected to unveil a new smartphone as part of the Galaxy S26 lineup. The company has not yet confirmed the device's name, but its teaser strongly suggests that the Galaxy S26 FE could be the star of the event. Samsung says the upcoming handset will bring several features from the Galaxy S26 series, including enhanced camera and AI capabilities, along with the latest One UI experience.
The online event is scheduled for August 27, 2026, at 5:30 PM IST, or 9 PM KST. Fans will be able to watch the announcement through Samsung's official website, the Samsung Members app and the company's YouTube channel. Samsung announced the event on August 19 without revealing the name of the upcoming phone. In its invitation, the company referred to the device as the "newest addition" to the Galaxy S26 family and highlighted its focus on bringing flagship-level camera and AI experiences to the new model.
This has led to widespread speculation that the Galaxy S26 FE could be introduced. While Samsung has not officially confirmed the handset, reports from 91mobiles suggest that the phone could be unveiled during the August 27 event. According to leaked information and certification listings, the Galaxy S26 FE may be powered by Samsung's Exynos 2500 chipset and paired with 8GB of RAM. The smartphone is expected to feature a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, which should provide smoother scrolling and animations.
The phone could also feature a 4,900mAh battery with support for 45W wired charging. This would position the Galaxy S26 FE as a device aimed at users looking for flagship-style features without necessarily paying the price of Samsung's top-end models. Photography is also expected to be a major part of the Galaxy S26 FE experience. Reports suggest that Samsung could equip the phone with a triple-camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary sensor with optical image stabilisation, a 12MP ultrawide camera and an 8MP telephoto camera offering 3x zoom. A 12MP front camera is reportedly planned for selfies and video calls.
Another expected feature is an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. Samsung may also continue its long-term software support strategy, with the Galaxy S26 FE reportedly eligible for up to seven years of Android and security updates. The smartphone could be offered in 128GB and 256GB variants. Leaked colour options include Blueberry, Graphite and Pistachio.
If these reports prove accurate, the Galaxy S26 FE could offer a combination of a large 120Hz AMOLED display, Exynos 2500 performance, versatile cameras, a 4,900mAh battery and extended software support. However, all of these specifications remain unofficial until Samsung formally introduces the device on August 27.
