The President also acknowledged the force's role in providing assistance during natural disasters and humanitarian emergencies. Murmu said the dedication of IAF personnel remained a source of pride and inspiration for the nation and expressed hope that the force would continue its distinguished tradition of service and excellence.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also paid tribute to the air warriors by sharing a video of the Indian Air Force on X. He said the nation remained proud of its air warriors and saluted their courage and commitment to protecting India's skies. Union Home Minister Amit Shah also conveyed his greetings on Air Force Day and remembered the IAF personnel who sacrificed their lives in service of the nation.

Shah praised the air warriors for their bravery, precision and operational capabilities, describing them as real-life heroes whose patriotism and professionalism would continue to inspire future generations. He also paid tribute to the martyrs who made the ultimate sacrifice for the country. Indian Air Force Day is observed every year on October 8 to mark the establishment of the Indian Air Force in 1932. The occasion honours the service, dedication and sacrifices of IAF personnel and recognises their role in protecting India's airspace and supporting the nation during emergencies.
