India Calls Pakistan 'Global Epicentre of Terror' at UN, Pledges Strong Response to Pak-Sponsored Attacks

India has delivered a blistering rebuke to Pakistan at the United Nations, branding it the “global epicentre of terrorism” and accusing Islamabad of continuing to nurture, shelter, and deploy extremist groups as instruments of state policy. New Delhi vowed that it would firmly counter any Pakistan-sponsored attacks, signalling a tougher diplomatic and strategic stance.
Speaking at the UN, India’s representative said Pakistan has perfected the art of denial and deception portraying itself as a victim of terrorism while simultaneously enabling networks that destabilise the region. India asserted that Pakistan’s record over decades leaves little room for ambiguity: terrorism is not an aberration, but a deliberate strategic choice.
State Policy Built on Extremism
India accused Pakistan of systematically providing safe havens, logistical support, financing, and ideological backing to terror groups operating across borders. Despite international scrutiny and repeated commitments, Pakistan’s actions have largely remained cosmetic, aimed at placating global watchdogs rather than dismantling terror infrastructure. New Delhi stressed that Pakistan’s failure to hold perpetrators accountable exposes the deep nexus between extremist organisations and sections of the Pakistani security establishment.
UN Platform Used to Expose Double Standards
Using the UN platform, India rejected Pakistan’s attempts to deflect attention through propaganda and misinformation. Indian officials pointed out that while Pakistan routinely raises political issues at international forums, it avoids addressing its own role in exporting violence and radicalisation. India underlined that no amount of rhetoric can erase Pakistan’s record of shielding internationally designated terrorists.
Clear Warning from New Delhi
India made it unequivocally clear that restraint should not be mistaken for weakness. Any terror attack traced back to Pakistan will invite a decisive response diplomatically, politically, and through appropriate security measures. This marks a continuation of India’s evolving doctrine, which prioritises accountability and deterrence over endless dialogue with a state accused of acting in bad faith.
Pakistan’s Global Isolation Deepens
India’s sharp intervention further dents Pakistan’s already fragile international standing. With a struggling economy dependent on external bailouts and a political system dominated by unelected power centres, Pakistan’s continued association with terrorism only accelerates its diplomatic isolation. Analysts note that Pakistan’s refusal to abandon proxy warfare has come at a heavy cost crippling investor confidence, worsening economic instability, and eroding credibility on the world stage.
A Pattern the World Can No Longer Ignore
India’s statement reflects growing global frustration with Pakistan’s persistent denial and half-measures. As long as Islamabad continues to protect extremist networks, it will remain trapped in a cycle of instability and international mistrust.
