Hyderabad Man Stabbed After Aides Suspected Police Tip-Off in Drug Case

A 30-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death in Hyderabad’s Upparpally area after two associates reportedly suspected that he had passed information to police about their alleged involvement in drug-related activities. The incident occurred on Thursday evening near Pillar No. 185 of the PV Narasimha Rao Expressway. According to police, the victim was involved in an argument with two men known to him. The dispute reportedly escalated, following which the two suspects attacked him with knives.

The injured man was rushed to a hospital in Attapur for treatment. However, he later succumbed to his injuries, police said. Investigators are probing whether the attack was linked to the suspects’ belief that the victim had informed police about alleged ganja sales. Officials said this is part of the preliminary investigation and that the exact motive is still being established.

Police identified the suspects as brothers Ilyas and Shoaib. Both are reportedly untraced following the incident, and teams have been formed to locate them. Investigators are examining CCTV footage from the area and collecting other evidence to reconstruct the sequence of events. Police are also looking into the previous cases involving the victim and the suspects, as reports indicate that they had faced allegations connected to drug-related offences.

A murder case has been registered in connection with the incident. Police said further details will emerge as the investigation progresses. The incident has brought attention to the violence that can arise from disputes surrounding alleged illegal drug activity. Authorities are now working to determine the circumstances leading to the fatal confrontation and establish the individual roles of those involved.
