The Airports Authority of India on Tuesday released an advisory cautioning passengers about possible flight delays at several airports in northern India because of ongoing fog conditions. In a social media update, the authority urged travellers to stay connected with their respective airlines through official channels for real-time information on flight schedules. Passengers were also advised to plan their journeys carefully by arriving at airports earlier than usual to accommodate extended check-in and security procedures.

According to AAI, reduced visibility was reported at select northern airports on 30 December 2025, which could affect flight operations and result in delays. The authority confirmed that assistance teams have been deployed at impacted airports to help passengers on the ground and ensure smooth operations despite adverse weather. AAI stated that it has activated special passenger facilitation measures and remains focused on maintaining safety, passenger comfort, and efficient airport management during challenging weather conditions.

Meanwhile, dense fog in Delhi on Monday led to major disruptions at Indira Gandhi International Airport, causing several delays and cancellations. In response, airlines including IndiGo and Air India issued advisories to their customers. IndiGo said it is closely monitoring the weather situation and adjusting operations to maintain safety and service reliability.

The airline noted that visibility fluctuations around Delhi and Hindon airports have slowed operations, and teams are prioritising safety while complying with visibility requirements. IndiGo added that once conditions improve, flight schedules are expected to return to normal and thanked passengers for their cooperation and patience.
