Google Home Outage Leaves Nest Hub Users Stuck on Endless Loading

Google Home users are facing issues with their smart-home devices, with several Nest Hub owners reporting that their screens are stuck on loading and other Google Home features are failing to respond. The problem appears to be affecting users across different locations, with complaints increasing as people report difficulties connecting to their Nest devices and using Google Home services. Some users say their Nest Hub remains stuck on a white screen or continues showing a loading animation without completing the startup process.
The reported problems are not limited to the Nest Hub display. Some Google Home users have also complained about delayed or failed voice commands, while connected-home routines and other automated functions are reportedly not working as expected. The situation has led some users to question whether their devices are faulty. However, reports from multiple users experiencing similar problems at around the same time suggest that the disruption could be linked to Google's backend services rather than individual hardware or home networks.
Outage-tracking platforms have also recorded an increase in reports related to Google Nest, adding to indications that users are experiencing a broader service issue. For users currently facing the problem, restarting the Nest Hub and checking the home internet connection may be worth trying. However, repeatedly performing a factory reset may not help if the underlying issue is connected to Google's servers.
The impact can be particularly noticeable for households that depend on Google Home to control smart lights, speakers, plugs and other connected devices. When cloud-based services are unavailable, devices that normally respond instantly to voice commands may become inaccessible or unreliable. It is currently unclear what is causing the reported Google Home outage or how long the disruption will last. Google has not provided a detailed public explanation of the issue at the time of writing.
Users experiencing endless loading or unresponsive Nest Hub devices may need to wait for Google's services to return to normal. If other internet services are working normally and multiple Google Home devices are affected simultaneously, the problem is less likely to be an isolated hardware failure. The latest reports serve as another reminder that many smart-home products depend heavily on cloud services. Even when the physical device and home internet connection are working properly, a problem on the service provider's side can temporarily disrupt everyday smart-home functions.
