David Beckham kicked off his 50th birthday celebrations with a lavish party in Miami, Florida. The former footballer hosted a black-tie event at Cipriani Socialista lounge on Monday, March 31—over a month before his milestone birthday on May 2. He was joined by his wife, Victoria Beckham, who turned 50 last year, along with their children Harper (13), Romeo (22), and Cruz (20).

Victoria shared a heartfelt Instagram post, writing, "What a way to begin the first of many celebrations for David, surrounded by friends and family ... Kisses from Miami!" Meanwhile, David expressed his gratitude, saying, "So I thought I'd start celebrating slightly early, such a special night in Miami. So lucky to have amazing friends and family to start the 50th celebrations with. Love you @victoriabeckham @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham #HarperSeven."

Although their eldest son Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola were absent, David's guest list included sports icons like Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Tom Brady, and Shaquille O'Neal, along with actors Justin Theroux, Fisher Stevens, and singer Marc Anthony. Melanie Brown, Victoria’s former Spice Girls bandmate, also attended.

David later posted a picture of himself between Tom Brady and Shaquille O'Neal, humorously captioning it, "I'm so small." Speaking about turning 50, David previously told Men’s Health magazine, "[It] doesn't bother me one bit ... People ask about it like it's a big deal, but as long as I'm fit, healthy, and my family is well, that's all that matters." Victoria celebrated her own 50th birthday in April 2024 with a family meal in France and an extravagant £250,000 party at London's exclusive Oswald's club, featuring dinner, cocktails, and dancing for around 100 guests.

To mark the occasion, David created a touching photo and video montage of Victoria’s life moments, alongside a heartfelt Instagram message: "Happy Birthday to my beautiful wife … As you step into this milestone, be proud of everything you have accomplished—Posh Spice, businesswoman, and of course, marrying an England captain. But your greatest achievement is your children. You love, guide, and teach them, and they adore you beyond words. We all love you so much. Have a special day, you deserve it all." Ending on a playful note, he added: "50 and fit. I AM BEING HONEST."
