Balochistan National Party organised protests in Quetta and other parts of Balochistan following a reported security raid on the home of senior leader Sardar Naseer Ahmed Musiyani in Zehri. According to The Balochistan Post, the operation allegedly led to the deaths of his son, Khaleel Musiyani, and Umair Sumalani, while several relatives were detained.

Party workers, supporters and leaders gathered outside the Quetta Press Club and other venues to condemn what they described as ongoing enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, arbitrary arrests and broader human rights violations in the province. During the demonstrations, BNP representatives said the party has consistently supported constitutional and democratic politics while opposing military operations, rights abuses and the unresolved issue of missing persons in Balochistan. They noted that Sardar Naseer Musiyani, a former mayor of Khuzdar district, has long been involved in peaceful political activism.

Speakers alleged that security forces stormed Musiyani’s residence a day earlier, assaulted family members, killed Khaleel Musiyani and detained several sons, relatives and associates. The party demanded an impartial and transparent investigation into the deaths of Khaleel Musiyani and Umair Sumalani, calling for those responsible to be held accountable.

BNP leaders also claimed that despite following a democratic political path under Akhtar Jan Mengal, the party continues to face pressure for speaking out against enforced disappearances and alleged extrajudicial actions. The speakers criticised the current government, referring to it as a “Form 47 administration,” and accused it of failing to improve the deteriorating security and human rights situation in Balochistan. They further alleged a rise in targeted killings, arbitrary detentions and the arrest of women and children, urging authorities to immediately end such actions.
