Aditya Dhar, director of Dhurandhar: The Revenge, has clarified that a viral image showing Ranveer Singh’s character smoking while wearing a turban is fake and created using AI. The controversy began when the image, allegedly featuring Singh’s character Jaskirat smoking, spread across social media and sparked concern among viewers.

Dhar addressed the issue on Instagram, stating that the visuals were manipulated by altering official promotional material with artificial intelligence to create misleading narratives. He emphasized that the image is completely fabricated and not part of the film or any authorized content, calling it a deliberate attempt to misrepresent and provoke.

He also expressed deep respect for the Sikh community, assuring that all portrayals in the film were handled with sensitivity, dignity, and responsibility. Dhar warned that strict action would be taken against those responsible and urged audiences to trust only official sources rather than fall for AI-driven misinformation circulated with hidden motives.

The film has been performing strongly at the box office since its release, attracting large audiences from its paid previews on March 18. Directed by Dhar, the sequel to the 2025 blockbuster Dhurandhar features a star-studded cast including Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi, and Arjun Rampal, and is produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios.
