Los Angeles is grappling with its most devastating wildfires in history, resulting in the destruction of tens of thousands of structures and the displacement of hundreds of thousands of residents.

The largest fire, located in the Pacific Palisades region, has scorched over 23,000 acres, marking it as the most severe wildfire the city has ever experienced.

To put this into perspective, the burned area is comparable in size to vast sections of lower Manhattan and Queens in New York City.
