Apple has launched a dedicated app for its official stores in India, designed to offer customers a seamless and highly personalized shopping experience. The app, now available to Apple users across the country, provides tailored recommendations, making browsing and purchasing more convenient, according to a report by The Economic Times.
The launch is part of Apple’s broader strategy to expand its presence in India, particularly in smaller towns and cities, as the company aims to drive growth in one of the world’s fastest-growing markets. This new app complements Apple’s flagship physical stores in Mumbai and New Delhi, which opened in 2023, and aligns with plans to establish new outlets in Bengaluru, Pune, Delhi NCR, and Mumbai in the near future.
“At Apple, our customer is at the centre of everything we do, and we are thrilled to introduce the Apple Store app to reach even more users in India, further deepening our connections,” said Karen Rasmussen, Apple’s Head of Retail Online.
The app features a range of functionalities to enhance the shopping experience for users. Customers can explore Apple’s latest products, accessories, and financing options in a user-friendly interface. Personalized recommendations, saved preferences, and real-time updates ensure a streamlined and efficient shopping journey. Additionally, the app enables users to connect with Apple Specialists for online Personal Setup sessions following a purchase, making it easier for customers to get the most out of their devices.
Customization is another key feature of the Apple Store app. Users can upgrade their Macs with powerful chips, extra memory, or additional storage to suit their needs. Apple also offers free engraving on devices like AirPods, iPads, and Apple Pencils, allowing customers to personalize their products with names, initials, numbers, or even emojis in eight different languages. Soon, the app will also allow users to schedule digital gift messages, adding a unique touch to their gifts.
“With the Apple Store app, customers will discover a new and seamless way to shop for all our incredible products, receive personalized support, and really experience the best of Apple,” Rasmussen added. This launch underscores Apple’s commitment to strengthening its foothold in India by offering cutting-edge technology and exceptional customer service tailored to the preferences of Indian consumers.
