Mumbai (Maharashtra): Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan recently took to X to express his support for his son, Abhishek Bachchan, amid ongoing debates about nepotism in the film industry. Engaging with fans, Amitabh praised Abhishek’s talent, emphasizing that his son’s career should not be overshadowed by negative perceptions.

A user on X pointed out that Abhishek had become an “unnecessary victim of nepotism negativity” despite proving his acting skills with a strong filmography. In response, Amitabh echoed the sentiment, writing, “I feel the same… and not just because I am his father.” Further expressing his admiration, Amitabh shared the trailer of Abhishek’s upcoming film Be Happy, calling him “extraordinary” and appreciating his ability to transform into diverse characters. He wrote, “Abhishek, you are extraordinary. How you adapt and change with each film character is an art, which is incredible. Love you, Bhaiyu.”

Beyond acting, Amitabh also applauded Abhishek’s style and composure. When a fan posted a video of Abhishek at an event, Amitabh responded, “Superior… Abhishek… stunning… the walk, the grace, and THE STYLE… no fuss, just a normal being, away from unnecessary attention-seeking.” This public support from Amitabh is not new.

Previously, after the release of I Want to Talk, he expressed on his blog how deeply the film moved him, stating, “Abhishek… you are not Abhishek… you are Arjun Sen of the film. Let them say what they say.” Currently, Amitabh is hosting Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 16, while Abhishek’s next film, Be Happy, is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video next week.
