Union Minister Kiren Rijiju says PM Modi's government responds swiftly in such situations.

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju on Monday stated that the central government is actively taking steps to ensure the safety of Indian nationals caught in the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict. Speaking to the media, Rijiju highlighted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government acts swiftly in such situations to provide timely assistance. He pointed out that unlike previous administrations, the current government offers comprehensive support, coordinated through the Ministry of External Affairs and its diplomatic missions in various countries, ensuring that Indians abroad receive prompt help.
Odisha Minister Prithviraj Harichandan underlined the government’s focused efforts to evacuate citizens from the West Asia conflict zone. He assured that Prime Minister Modi and the Ministry of External Affairs are working tirelessly to ensure that no Indian is left behind. Speaking to ANI, Harichandan said, “The government has made detailed plans, and the evacuation process is proceeding as scheduled. Every measure is being taken to ensure the safety of our citizens, and not a single person will be left behind.”
Nasir Khuehami, National Convenor of the Jammu and Kashmir Students Association, wrote to Prime Minister Modi on Saturday, urging the evacuation of approximately 1,200 Kashmiri students stranded in Iranian territories following military strikes by the United States and Israel. Khuehami requested that the government open diplomatic channels and engage with international counterparts to facilitate the safe return of the students.
These statements from senior officials reflect the central government’s proactive approach to protecting Indian citizens during international crises and highlight the ongoing coordination between the Prime Minister’s office, the Ministry of External Affairs, and Indian missions abroad to manage evacuation and safety operations efficiently.
