After almost 14 years since ‘Movers & Shakers’, actor Shekhar Suman is making a comeback to the talk show space with his new show, ‘Shekhar Tonite’. Shekhar attended the launch event of the show in the city along with his wife Alka and son Adhyayan. The show was officially introduced during a media gathering.

Sharing his thoughts on returning to television, Shekhar said that ‘Shekhar Tonite’ goes beyond regular celebrity interviews and focuses on genuine human emotions and unfiltered conversations. He explained that the most memorable moments often come from unexpected laughter, pauses, and honest revelations rather than rehearsed interactions. According to him, the show aims to create a space where authenticity and emotions take priority over performance.

Adhyayan Suman, who conceptualised the show, described the project as extremely personal. He said it marks the return of a legendary personality who transformed conversational entertainment in India. Recalling his childhood memories of watching his father’s wit and engaging style, Adhyayan shared that seeing Shekhar return with the same passion and energy was deeply emotional for him.

He also expressed gratitude to producer and creative partner Dharmesh Sanghani from Sangani Brothers and Cobbled Street for supporting his vision. Adhyayan further thanked Ritika Bajaj and the entire team involved in bringing the show to life. ‘Shekhar Tonite’ will feature candid and unscripted conversations with personalities from films, politics, music, sports, business, and culture, blending humour, emotions, satire, and spontaneity. The show is scheduled to premiere on May 15 and will stream every Friday on Shekhar Suman’s YouTube channel.
