Rajnath Singh marks second anniversary of Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha with prayers at Ayodhya temple.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, offered prayers at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya on the occasion of Pratishtha Dwadashi and the second anniversary of the Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha. Prior to visiting the main temple, Rajnath Singh also paid his respects at the Hanumangarhi Temple. He arrived in Ayodhya following an invitation from the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra and was received by CM Yogi Adityanath at the Maharshi Valmiki International Airport.
On the second day of the Pratishtha Dwadashi Patotsav celebrations, several sacred rituals were conducted as part of the yajna ceremonies at the Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir. These included Tattva Kalash, Tattva Homa, Manyu Sukta Homa, Ram Taraka Mantra Homa, along with other traditional rites. The idol of Ram Lalla had been unveiled on January 22, 2024, during the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, which involved extended rituals led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the presence of dignitaries and devotees.
Earlier in the day, CM Yogi Adityanath conveyed his greetings to the public, emphasizing the spiritual and historical importance of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple and the long journey leading to its consecration. In a message shared on X, he said that the second anniversary of the consecration represents the culmination of centuries of struggle and brings spiritual relief and fulfilment.
Ayodhya witnessed an overwhelming turnout of devotees as the city commemorated the anniversary. From the temple gates to the streets, the air echoed with chants of “Jai Shri Ram.” Many pilgrims expressed that beginning the New Year with darshan of Lord Ram brings peace, positivity, and divine blessings. The observance of the second anniversary has further reinforced Ayodhya’s status as a major spiritual and cultural hub, with a continuous influx of devotees seeking Lord Ram’s blessings at the start of the New Year.
