Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the 19th Rozgar Mela on Saturday, where over 51,000 appointment letters will be handed over to newly selected candidates across various Union Ministries, government departments, and public sector undertakings. He is also expected to address attendees during the event.

The Rozgar Mela initiative reflects the Prime Minister’s focus on boosting employment opportunities and accelerating recruitment across government sectors. Since the programme began, nearly 12 lakh appointment letters have been distributed through 18 editions conducted nationwide.

This latest edition of the Rozgar Mela will take place simultaneously at 47 venues across India. Candidates chosen from different states and regions will join several central government departments, including the Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Financial Services, and Department of Higher Education, among others.

The initiative mainly supports job seekers between the ages of 18 and 35 and welcomes applicants with varied educational backgrounds, ranging from Class 8, 10, and 12 qualifications to ITI certificates, diplomas, and graduate degrees. Certified candidates meeting National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) standards are also included. To ensure wider participation, information about the Rozgar Mela is shared through multiple outreach methods such as newspaper advertisements, bulk SMS campaigns, social media promotions, and awareness workshops conducted in colleges and universities near the event locations.
