Grammy-winning composer Hans Zimmer is set to create the original score for HBO's highly anticipated 'Harry Potter' TV series. According to Variety, Zimmer and his music company, Bleeding Fingers Music, will handle the series' score, which is scheduled to premiere in 2027. HBO shared the news on Instagram, quoting Albus Dumbledore: "Ah, music. A magic beyond all we do here!" and added, "We're honored to announce that Hans Zimmer and Bleeding Fingers will compose a new score for HBO's Harry Potter series. Coming soon to HBO Max."

Bleeding Fingers, co-founded by Zimmer alongside Russell Emanuel and Steven Kofsky, brings together a team of composers who create original music for films, television, and other creative projects. For the 'Harry Potter' series, Karan Talve and Anže Rozman will collaborate with Zimmer to immerse fans in the magical world of wizardry.

In a statement, the composers said, "The musical legacy of 'Harry Potter' is a touchstone for composers everywhere, and we are humbled to be part of such a remarkable team on a project of this scale. The responsibility is something Karan Talve, Anže Rozman, and I do not take lightly. Magic is all around us, often just beyond reach, but as in the world of Harry Potter, you simply must look for it. With this score, we hope to bring audiences a little closer to it while honoring what has come before."

Zimmer, celebrated for iconic scores in films like Inception, The Lion King, Dune, Black Hawk Down, and Gladiator, has won multiple awards, including Oscars for Dune and The Lion King. The 'Harry Potter' TV series, currently in production, has officially announced its cast. Dominic McLaughlin, Arabella Stanton, and Alastair Stout will portray Harry, Hermione, and Ron, respectively, while actors like John Lithgow, Nick Frost, Paapa Essiedu, and Janet McTeer will also feature. The series is set to premiere in 2027.
