Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Wednesday interacted with residents from across the city and listened to their concerns during a public hearing organised at Jan Seva Sadan. She instructed officials from the respective departments to take immediate steps and ensure that all complaints are addressed on priority, according to an official statement. The Chief Minister said the public hearing process is not limited to resolving individual complaints but also plays an important role in building confidence among citizens and strengthening the government’s commitment to transparent and efficient governance.

During the hearing, citizens raised issues related to several public welfare areas, including pension services, education, healthcare facilities, the Ayushman Bharat Scheme, property matters, and regularisation-related concerns. After examining the cases, CM Gupta directed officials to take prompt action, complete the process within the prescribed timelines, and ensure that eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits of government schemes without unnecessary delays. She also took note of pension-related complaints and asked officials to review each case separately so that deserving applicants can receive their pension benefits within the required timeframe.

A large number of women also met the Chief Minister during the event and thanked her for the Delhi Laxmi Yojana, calling it an important step towards improving women’s financial independence. They said the initiative has provided fresh opportunities by focusing on women’s dignity, empowerment, and economic security.

Responding to their appreciation, Rekha Gupta said her government remains committed to the overall development of women and will continue working towards making them more self-reliant. Highlighting the importance of public hearings, the Chief Minister said the initiative acts as a direct connection between citizens and the administration. She emphasised that every grievance should be handled with sensitivity, transparency, and accountability.

"The Delhi Government’s priority is to ensure that every citizen is heard and that their concerns are resolved within a fixed timeframe. Serving the people of Delhi remains our foremost responsibility," she said. CM Gupta further stated that the government will continue strengthening the public grievance mechanism and work towards delivering a responsive, citizen-friendly, and accountable administration for the people of Delhi.
