Deepal makes its official debut in Singapore with the launch of a new showroom.

Deepal, the newest Chinese car brand to enter Singapore, celebrated its official launch with the opening of its showroom at Alexandra Road on March 27. The brand is represented locally by Premium Automobiles, and the Deepal showroom is located on the second floor of their large facility at 281 Alexandra Road, while the Chinese brand Xpeng is situated on the first floor. According to Premium Automobiles, the Deepal showroom features space for up to 12 cars, a customer lounge, a kid-friendly play area, and a cafe. The building also houses a service center for both Deepal and Xpeng in the basement.
What is Deepal? Deepal is a brand under Changan Automobile, one of China’s "Big Four" state-owned carmakers alongside Dongfeng, SAIC Motor, and FAW Group. While its Chinese name translates to "Deep Blue," the origin of the name 'Deepal' remains unclear. Originally a division of Changan focused on developing new energy technologies, especially hybrids and electric vehicles (EVs), Deepal evolved into a full-fledged car manufacturer and adopted the English name 'Deepal' in 2022. The brand began exporting in 2023 and is now present in multiple countries, including Thailand, Australia, Mexico, Nepal, Pakistan, and Singapore.
What is Deepal offering in Singapore? Deepal's first model available in Singapore is the S07, a mid-sized electric SUV that was first showcased at the Singapore Motor Show earlier this year. Priced at $220,999 with COE, the S07 is positioned in a competitive range of recent electric SUVs, including the Hyptec HT Premium, BYD Sealion 7, and the Xpeng G6.
The S07 features a stylish coupe-SUV design with a 2,900mm wheelbase, offering ample space inside. Notable highlights include a 15.6-inch infotainment touchscreen that can tilt towards the driver or passenger, and an augmented-reality head-up display providing road and navigation information. Powered by a single electric motor with a 79.7kWh battery, the S07 produces 160kW/218hp and 320Nm of torque. It offers a driving range of up to 475km on a full charge.
What other models can we expect from Deepal? At the launch, Deepal also previewed two upcoming models: the S05, a smaller SUV expected to compete in COE Category A, and the E07, a utility vehicle with a retractable glass window that transforms into a flatbed cargo area similar to a pickup truck. The E07 is still awaiting approval from authorities but is expected to be classified as a passenger vehicle once it goes on sale.
