Actors Alia Bhatt and Sharvari have generated fresh buzz around Alpha after the makers dropped its official trailer, giving audiences a closer look at the film’s storyline and the journey of a young assassin set within the YRF Spy Universe. The 2-minute-34-second trailer begins with Bobby Deol’s character naming Alia Bhatt’s role Sita, referencing her mother Janaki. Through Sita’s voiceover, the narrative draws parallels with the mythological story of a princess who is kidnapped by a demon but ultimately chooses to fight back and shape her own destiny instead of waiting to be saved.

As the trailer unfolds, it transitions into intense action sequences, with Alia Bhatt’s character taking the lead in combat and high-speed chase scenes. Sharvari appears as a mysterious woman whom Sita initially finds difficult to trust, though the two eventually unite for a dangerous mission, hinting at a developing alliance against a formidable enemy.

Anil Kapoor also features in a significant role, adding further depth to the plot, while Bobby Deol is portrayed as the main antagonist. The trailer builds tension toward a dark and intense climax before ending on a cliffhanger that introduces a shadowy figure whose identity remains concealed. Fans are speculating that this mysterious character could be played by Hrithik Roshan, although the teaser only briefly shows his striking green eyes, revealing no clear identity.

Directed by Shiv Rawail, known for The Railway Men, Alpha is a high-octane action drama and marks the first female-led entry in the YRF Spy Universe, which includes major films like Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, Tiger 3, and War 2. The film has undergone several schedule changes during production. Initially planned for a 2025 release, it was later moved to April before being rescheduled again, with Yash Raj Films finally setting its global theatrical release for July 3, 2026.
