PM Modi, Amit Shah, and Leaders Pay Tribute to Balasaheb Thackeray on His Birth Anniversary

New Delhi: On the birth anniversary of Balasaheb Thackeray, prominent leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, paid homage to the revered Shiv Sena founder, remembering his contributions to public welfare, Maharashtra's development, and Indian culture.
In a post on X, Prime Minister Modi highlighted Thackeray’s commitment to public welfare and his role in strengthening Maharashtra’s growth. “I pay homage to Balasaheb Thackeray Ji on his birth anniversary. He is widely respected and remembered for his commitment to public welfare and Maharashtra’s development. He was uncompromising when it came to his core beliefs and always contributed towards enhancing the pride of Indian culture,” wrote the Prime Minister.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also honored Thackeray, emphasizing his unwavering dedication to Sanatan culture and nationalism. Shah remarked, “The revered Balasaheb Thackeray, who was lifelong dedicated to the ideals of Sanatan culture and nationalism, always placed the nation’s welfare above all else. Even in adverse circumstances, Balasaheb never compromised on his principles, and his ideological firmness will continue to inspire us forever.” Shah added, “On the birth anniversary of the strong nationalist Balasaheb Thackeray, we bow to him with deep respect.”
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde joined in paying his respects. He referred to Thackeray as the "Hindu heart emperor" and described him as a towering figure in Indian politics. “Humble tributes to the venerable Hindu heart emperor, Shiv Sena chief Balasaheb Thackeray, on his birth anniversary, in his sacred memory,” Shinde posted on X.
Aditya Thackeray, grandson of Balasaheb Thackeray, also paid tribute to the iconic leader. “Hindu Hriday Samrat, there will never be another like him. On his birth anniversary, a humble tribute!” he wrote on X.
Balasaheb Thackeray, who founded the Shiv Sena party, is remembered for championing the rights of Maratha people and Hindus. His fiery speeches and staunch nationalism left an indelible mark on Indian politics. On his birth anniversary, leaders and admirers alike celebrated his legacy and enduring influence.
