Amid Rift Speculation, Iran President Defends Mojtaba Khamenei, Calls Him a Rational Leader

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has dismissed reports of growing differences with Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, saying his interactions with the countrys highest authority have been guided by logic and kindness despite increasing difficulties in arranging direct meetings. The presidents remarks come amid widespread speculation over divisions within Irans leadership following recent political developments and reports suggesting strained relations between the elected government and the countrys top leadership.

Speaking in an interview, Pezeshkian acknowledged that it has become very difficult to communicate with Mojtaba Khamenei because of heightened security measures and the Supreme Leaders limited public appearances.
