Jaipur, Aug 22 (AHN) Following a dispute between CJP activists and villagers in Jaipur district, the debate over external interference and political activities in government schools has intensified.
The Akhil Bharatiya Rashtriya Shaikshiik Mahasangh has objected to unauthorised entry and political activities on school premises, while clarifying that it does not support the alleged assault and violence during the incident.
State Vice President Sanjeev Vyas, speaking at a press conference in Jodhpur on Saturday, said that according to information available to the federation, CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka and some activists had attempted to inspect a government school. Local villagers reportedly opposed the move, after which an argument allegedly escalated into verbal abuse and a physical altercation.
The federation said violence cannot be a solution to any dispute and made it clear that it does not condone the alleged assault. At the same time, it maintained that government schools should remain free from political activities and unauthorised external interference. Vyas said that if any individual, organisation, or group has concerns about a government school’s management, facilities, teacher availability, or quality of education, complaints should be submitted through the Education Department and district administration.
According to the federation, following these procedures is essential to protect the academic environment. It added that teachers would oppose anyone entering a school if the visit had not been authorised through the prescribed process. The federation emphasised that these rules should apply equally to everyone and not be selectively enforced against any particular individual or organisation.
The federation expressed support for government guidelines aimed at preventing external and political interference in schools.
Vyas said the guidelines aim to create a safe, disciplined, and improved academic environment for students, stressing that school administration should remain free from political activities and interference.
It also expressed support for education reforms being pursued by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and Education Minister Madan Dilawar, saying efforts are underway to improve resources and the quality of education in government schools. Vyas said the federation is working to transform government schools into centres of learning and places of respect, describing them as akin to Tirtha.
According to him, teachers associated with the organisation are working to improve physical resources and academic standards in around 10,000 schools across Rajasthan. He added that the government has prepared plans to improve infrastructure and facilities in dilapidated school buildings.
The federation maintained that concerns about government schools should be raised and addressed, but issues must be resolved through established institutional and administrative mechanisms so the educational environment remains undisturbed.
