‘Samriddhi Yatra’: Nitish Kumar pulls up officials, orders swift action on public grievances

Patna, Jan 19 (AHN) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who is currently on a Samriddhi Yatra (Prosperity Journey) across the state, visited Sitamarhi and Sheohar districts on Monday.
During his visit, the Chief Minister inaugurated 75 development projects worth several crores of rupees and laid the foundation of 28 projects. He also reviewed the progress of ongoing welfare schemes.
While addressing a public gathering in Sitamarhi, CM Nitish appeared visibly displeased with some ministers and officials over delays in development work.
When members of the public raised their hands to flag grievances, the Chief Minister immediately intervened and issued strict instructions from the stage, directing officials and ministers to listen carefully to the people’s concerns and ensure that pending works are completed at the earliest.
Highlighting the achievements of his government since 2005, Nitish Kumar reiterated his commitment to development and good governance.
He stressed that public problems must be addressed without delay and warned officials against complacency.
It may be noted that CM Nitish Kumar has been on the Samriddhi Yatra since January 16, during which he has been directly interacting with citizens, reviewing development projects, and monitoring the implementation of government schemes.
The Chief Minister is also revisiting the announcements made during his earlier Pragati Yatra, assessing their current status and directing officials to complete unfinished works.
During the tour, CM Nitish Kumar has also expressed gratitude to the people of Bihar for giving the NDA a decisive mandate in the recent Assembly elections.
Several senior leaders were present on the dais during the Sitamarhi event, including Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, JD(U) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Jha and Sitamarhi MP Devesh Chandra Thakur.
JD(U) MP from Sheohar Lovely Anand, MLA Pankaj Kumar Mishra, MLA Amit Kumar Ranu, MLA Sunil Kumar Pintu, MLA Rameshwar Kumar Mahto, and former minister Ranju Geeta, along with many other state government officials, were also present.
