New Delhi, Jan 17 (AHN) Delhi Cabinet Minister and Sikh leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa said on Saturday that the truth has come before the nation regarding the objectionable words uttered by Aam Aadmi Party leader Atishi during a discussion on Guru Tegh Bahadur in the Assembly, and she must apologise.
Sirsa said that Atishi must come forward to provide clarification and apologise, along with AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal, to the nation and Sikh society. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann must also publicly apologise, as the state police and the government attempted to shield Atishi.
“This is not a political fight. On the sacred land of Punjab, religion cannot be intimidated through police and state power,” he said, alleging a failed attempt by the Punjab Government to defend Atishi by filing a distorted police complaint.
Sirsa said that the Delhi Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) report has clearly certified that the said video of Leader of Opposition Atishi’s remarks in the Assembly is entirely authentic, with no tampering of any kind, and the words spoken match exactly those recorded in the official verbatim issued by Speaker Vijender Gupta.
“Atishi has not come forward to this day because she has no answer to this sin,” he said.
Citing the Delhi Forensic Science Laboratory report, Sirsa said the key conclusions from it are: The video and audio are completely authentic; no editing or tampering was done; and the words in the Speaker’s issued verbatim fully match those spoken in the video.
“On January 6, when the discussion on Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s honour was underway, Atishi created a commotion, and when stopped, she uttered such derogatory words that were not only against the dignity of the House but also hurt the sentiments of the Sikh community. She has not come forward to this day because she has no answer to the sin she committed,” said Sirsa.
He added that, ironically, she even skipped the House discussion on pollution, which she had been demanding earlier.
Sirsa alleged that to protect Atishi, the Aam Aadmi Party and the Punjab Government colluded in institutional misuse.
He said that Punjab Police registered an FIR and obtained a CFSL report the same day, in which a senior constable claimed to have verified the video using ‘Gemini AI’- which itself raised serious questions on the report’s gravity and credibility.
“Gemini AI was used to check the video and prepare the FSL report. Can an AI tool be used for investigation in such a serious matter?” asked Sirsa.
Delhi minister said it is even more shocking that Atishi did not appear in court herself, instead, the Punjab Government went and demanded the video be removed from the media, claiming their so-called FSL report was correct.
Sirsa said that now that the FSL report is public, Aam Aadmi Party leaders are questioning why Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta released the report.
“In reality, they did not want the forensic report to ever come out. Now that the truth is revealed, they are squirming,” said Sirsa.
He appealed to the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) and all Panthic organisations to take cognisance of this issue and present their stance publicly.
Delhi Cabinet Minister also levelled serious allegations against the Aam Aadmi Party for targeting the media to suppress the truth. He stated that newspaper copies were forcibly removed early in the morning so they wouldn’t reach the market, followed by the misuse of the GST, pollution department, police, and various Punjab agencies to create pressure.
