Valsad, May 21 (AHN) Gujarat BJP MP from Valsad, Dhaval Patel, on Thursday, alleged that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi maintains links and has held meetings with individuals associated with the 'Tukde Tukde gang' as well as George Soros abroad.
The remarks came after Gandhi referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah as “traitors” while accusing them of attacking the Constitution.
Addressing a public rally in Uttar Pradesh's Rae Bareli on Wednesday, he said: "When these RSS workers come before you, they will speak of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, then you must say to their faces that your Prime Minister, Home Minister, and the organisation (BJP) is a traitor, you have worked to sell India. You have worked to attack the Constitution."
Reacting to these remarks, Patel said the statements reflected political frustration and electoral decline within the Congress party.
He stated: “Rahul Gandhi has been repeatedly making such statements, especially as Congress continues to face major electoral defeats in West Bengal, Assam and across the country.”
He further added, “This shows his mental imbalance and frustration after repeated failures.”
Patel also referred to allegations regarding foreign influence, stating that Rahul Gandhi had engaged with individuals abroad who, according to him, were linked to anti-India narratives.
"Whenever Rahul Gandhi goes abroad, he meets people from the 'Tukde Tukde gang', meets people associated with George Soros, and has even met them in Oman recently. In China as well, he signed an MoU against national interest and behaves with an anarchist mentality," he alleged.
Referring to international discussions and political commentary by Rahul Gandhi, Patel cited earlier instances in which the Congress leader had spoken about global economic competition and China’s manufacturing dominance, which had previously drawn criticism from the BJP for allegedly undermining India’s global image.
"Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on a foreign visit aimed at strengthening India’s energy security amid global geopolitical instability," he said.
He also reiterated broader allegations from the BJP that Rahul Gandhi’s statements repeatedly question national security decisions.
Patel said, “When our armed forces are given full freedom, when Naxalism is being eliminated, and terrorism is being fought, calling such actions betrayal is deeply unfortunate.”
“The people of India have already given repeated mandates. Any insult to the Prime Minister, the Home Minister, or the mandate of 140 crore Indians will not be accepted," he added.
