Prime Minister Modi to Attend IIT Delhi's 57th Convocation Ceremony on Saturday

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address the 57th convocation ceremony of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi on Saturday. The convocation will witness more than 3,000 students receiving their degrees, including 587 doctoral scholars who will be awarded PhD degrees. According to an official statement issued on Friday, the Prime Minister will also honour exceptional students by presenting some of the institute's highest academic distinctions. These include the President's Gold Medal, the Director's Gold Medal, the Shankar Dayal Sharma Gold Medal, and the Perfect Ten Gold Medals. During the event, Modi will inaugurate Param Pragya, an advanced artificial intelligence-driven high-performance supercomputing facility at IIT Delhi's Sonipat campus. The new facility is designed to strengthen research in artificial intelligence, data science, high-performance computing, and interdisciplinary innovation, reinforcing India's focus on emerging technologies and scientific advancement.
