Gujarat ATS, Coast Guard Seize 526 Kg of Drugs Worth Rs 3,000 Crore in Arabian Sea; 5 Pakistan Nationals Arrested

The Gujarat ATS and Indian Coast Guard have seized 526 kg of high-grade narcotics worth more than ₹3,000 crore in the international market during an operation in the Arabian Sea. Acting on intelligence inputs, the agencies tracked and intercepted a suspicious Iranian boat west of Lakshadweep on September 25. Coast Guard commandos boarded the vessel and recovered large quantities of heroin and methamphetamine. Five Pakistani nationals allegedly linked to the trafficking operation were arrested. The boat, suspects and seized drugs were brought to Mumbai for further investigation. The Gujarat ATS, Coast Guard, NCB and other agencies are probing the source of the drugs, the trafficking network and their intended destination.
