A solemn farewell for former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was held at Nigambodh Ghat in New Delhi, where he was cremated with full state honors. Draped in the Tricolour and adorned with flowers, Singh's casket journeyed from the Congress headquarters amidst chants honoring his legacy and calls for awarding him the Bharat Ratna.
