Veteran actress Saira Banu recently shared an emotional and nostalgic post after meeting Hema Malini, taking a trip down memory lane from her early years in the film industry. She posted a warm photograph from their reunion on Instagram and reflected on their decades-long friendship and shared experiences.

In her note, Saira Banu recalled first meeting Hema Malini in 1966 on the sets of Deewana, where she was instantly struck by her elegance and beauty. She also remembered a more recent visit when Hema came to her home with her cousin, saying it immediately brought back a flood of old memories and emotions.

She further described their time together during outdoor shooting schedules near the Krishna Raja Sagar Dam, where they stayed in nearby rooms and spent long hours talking. Their mothers were also present during those days and often joined their conversations, adding wisdom and warmth to their bond. Saira highlighted that their friendship has remained effortless over the years, built on comfort, familiarity, and mutual understanding rather than constant effort.

In the same heartfelt post, Saira Banu also spoke about veteran actor Dharmendra. She fondly recalled his deep respect and affection for her late husband, Dilip Kumar. According to her, Dharmendra’s admiration was always evident in the way he spoke about Dilip Sahib, with genuine sincerity and heartfelt regard that needed no formal expression.
