A growing divide has emerged within Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) after a group of lawmakers reportedly expressed dissatisfaction with the party leadership's approach toward securing the release of jailed former prime minister Imran Khan. The discontent surfaced in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where several PTI legislators raised concerns about what they described as an inadequate and uncoordinated campaign for Khan's freedom. According to reports, the lawmakers conveyed their grievances to senior party leaders, arguing that supporters increasingly feel frustrated by the absence of a clear roadmap for achieving the party's central political objective.

The legislators also voiced concerns about governance issues in the province, including public complaints regarding administration and service delivery. They reportedly warned that continued uncertainty could weaken party morale and create confusion among workers who have remained loyal to Khan despite his prolonged incarceration.

The criticism highlights broader tensions within PTI as the party navigates legal, political, and organizational challenges. While the leadership has repeatedly reaffirmed its commitment to Khan's release, some members believe stronger political mobilization and a more structured strategy are needed to maintain momentum.

The development comes at a sensitive time for PTI, which has faced mounting pressure since Khan's imprisonment. Internal disagreements over protest tactics, negotiations, and political priorities have periodically surfaced, fueling speculation about differences within the party's ranks. Despite the criticism, PTI leaders have maintained that the party remains united behind its founder and that differing opinions are a normal part of political discourse. 

However, the latest complaints suggest that questions about leadership strategy and organizational direction continue to resonate among sections of the party.
