Jasen Kaplan, Finding Prince Charming alum and celebrity makeup artist, dies at 46.

Jasen Kaplan, a celebrity makeup artist and former Finding Prince Charming contestant, has died at the age of 46, Deadline reports. He passed away shortly before midnight on Wednesday at a New York City hospital, with authorities currently investigating the circumstances surrounding his death at his apartment building, according to Page Six and TMZ. The cause of death has not been revealed.
Kaplan was renowned for his work with high-profile celebrities such as Eva Longoria, Cyndi Lauper, Lynda Carter, Kelly Osbourne, and Bethenny Frankel. Following his passing, friends and colleagues in the entertainment industry paid tribute to him. Frankel described him as "magnetic, generous, and endlessly supportive," noting his infectious energy and vibrant personality. She shared that Kaplan had a knack for connecting people and spreading joy, often sending her updates about his latest finds, including a Hello Kitty cookie jar that reminded him of her.
Kelly Osbourne also expressed her grief, recalling their long friendship. "I'm devastated. I love you so much @jasenkaplan. Thank you for all the love, laughter, and joy you brought my life. I hope you are at peace now. Life will never be the same without you! RIP my dear friend," she wrote on Instagram, according to Deadline.
Kaplan gained wider recognition in 2016 as a contestant on Logo’s Finding Prince Charming, a reality dating show where 13 gay men competed for interior designer Robert Sepulveda Jr.’s heart. Kaplan was eliminated in the second week of the competition. His death comes shortly after that of fellow contestant Chad Spodick, who passed away at age 42 in early December.
