Himachal Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania Visits Finland Following Milan Study Tour

Himachal Pradesh Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania has arrived in Helsinki, Finland, after completing the Milan leg of his overseas study visit, the state Assembly Secretariat said. Pathania reached Helsinki by air late Wednesday night as part of his ongoing international study programme. His visit to Milan was scheduled from September 21 to 25, during which he toured several prominent sites, educational institutions and industrial zones to study their relevance and possible lessons for India and Himachal Pradesh.

Reflecting on his experience in Milan, Pathania praised the city's architecture and craftsmanship. He described Milan as a city that had surpassed his expectations and highlighted the contribution of its architects and artisans in shaping its distinctive character. During his stay, the Assembly Speaker also met members of the Indian community and interacted with local residents. Addressing Indians living in Italy, Pathania described India as their motherland and encouraged them to consider investing their earnings in the country. He said such investments could contribute to economic growth and generate employment opportunities.

Pathania also highlighted India's large young population and stressed the importance of harnessing the potential of the country's youth for development and nation-building. He said India aims to use its demographic strength to build a prosperous economy and strengthen its position as a global economic power.

The next phase of Pathania's study visit is taking place in Helsinki from September 23 to 24. He is then scheduled to travel to Rovaniemi, a major Finnish city and the administrative capital of Lapland. Located close to the Arctic Circle, Rovaniemi is widely associated with Santa Claus and is known for its Arctic landscape, northern lights and natural surroundings. According to the Assembly Secretariat, Pathania's study visit to Rovaniemi is scheduled for September 25 and 26.
