Amit Shah will visit West Bengal on March 28, when the Bharatiya Janata Party is set to release a chargesheet against the Trinamool Congress.

Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, is set to visit West Bengal on March 28 as part of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s intensified political campaign in the state. During the visit, he will hold a major press conference and officially release a chargesheet against the Trinamool Congress (TMC), presenting the party’s allegations against the current government.
According to BJP sources in Bengal, the chargesheet will provide a detailed account of alleged corruption, governance shortcomings, and law-and-order issues under the TMC over recent years. It is expected to highlight concerns such as recruitment irregularities, financial mismanagement, and what the BJP describes as systemic administrative failures.
In addition, the BJP plans to publish a comprehensive White Paper reviewing what it calls 15 years of “misgovernance and corruption” during TMC rule. This document will likely include data, case studies, and sector-wise evaluations to support the party’s claims about governance gaps in the state.
The party is also expected to intensify its narrative around alleged “mafia rule” in West Bengal. BJP leaders have stated that, if elected, they will take firm action against illegal networks involved in the extraction and trade of resources like coal, sand, and stone, while promoting transparency and accountability.
Preparations are ongoing for the party’s election manifesto, which is expected to be released in early April, with April 5 being considered as a tentative launch date. The manifesto will outline the BJP’s plans for governance in West Bengal, focusing on development, infrastructure, job creation, law and order, and welfare initiatives.
