US Imposes New Sanctions on Sudan Over Alleged Chemical Weapons Use

The United States has imposed sanctions on Sudan after concluding that the Sudanese government used chemical weapons during its war against the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in 2024. The measures are expected to limit certain US exports to Sudan and restrict access to US government-backed financing.
