Kurdish Forces Edge Closer to Integration With Syria's Central Government

Syria’s central government and the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have reached a landmark deal to bring civilian institutions and military formations in northeastern Syria under the authority of the state. SDF commander Mazloum Abdi and President Ahmed al-Sharaa finalized the agreement following months of negotiations, tensions and armed clashes.
