Singapore:- A 56-year-old man was arrested and hospitalized on Tuesday (Oct 8) after brandishing a knife at the Textile Centre on Jalan Sultan.
Responding to AHN's inquiries, police confirmed they received a call for help around 3:50 p.m.
A one-minute video of the incident circulating online shows the man, dressed only in underwear, waving a knife in the air.
An eyewitness mentioned that the man is "always" ,seen at the centre and sometimes talks to himself.
As a police officer approaches, the man extends one arm and raises the knife. Another officer then draws a gun, instructing the man to drop the knife and sit down.
The man complies, placing the knife on a nearby counter and kneeling. Four officers then surround and restrain him after he refuses to lie down.
