Julian Lennon, 61, the son of the late John Lennon and his first wife Cynthia, recently shared that he underwent emergency skin cancer surgery. Just before embarking on a press tour, he was diagnosed with melanoma, requiring him to urgently return to Los Angeles for treatment.
In a post on social media, Julian explained that he had visited his dermatologist, Dr. Tess, in Los Angeles before heading to New York. Dr. Tess had previously treated him for a mole that was life-threatening. After finishing his commitments in New York, Julian received an urgent call from Dr. Tess regarding two concerning spots on his skin—one on his shoulder and the other on his forearm. The mole on his forearm was diagnosed as melanoma. In response, Julian quickly flew back to Los Angeles and went directly from the airport to undergo surgery.
The surgery was successful, but Julian is still awaiting the biopsy results, which are expected after the holiday season. He expressed his deep gratitude to Dr. Tess and his surgeon, Dr. Tim, for coordinating the operation at such short notice. Julian remains hopeful that the surgery removed all cancerous cells and is optimistic about the outcome.
Julian used his platform to encourage his followers to prioritize their health by getting regular check-ups. He emphasized that early detection could save lives, stressing that a quick visit to the doctor could make all the difference. He also shared a heartfelt message of appreciation for life and urged everyone to take care of their health for the sake of their loved ones. Julian concluded by wishing his fans a joyful holiday season and a long, healthy life.
