Morocco is poised to become a significant player in the Indian defense manufacturing ecosystem following a groundbreaking agreement between Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) and the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces. This landmark collaboration paves the way for Morocco’s first large-scale defense manufacturing facility, which will be established in Casablanca. The state-of-the-art plant will focus on the production of Wheeled Armoured Platform (WhAP) 8x8 combat vehicles, marking a significant step in defense cooperation between the two nations. The facility will span approximately 20,000 square meters and is expected to become operational within 12 months. Once fully functional, it will have the capacity to produce around 100 WhAP vehicles annually.
