A private school in Dwarka, Delhi, received a bomb threat on Friday, prompting a swift response from the authorities, according to the police. Emergency response teams were deployed to the school, and classes transitioned to an online format as a precautionary measure. Further information is awaited.

This incident is not isolated, as similar threats have disrupted schools in Delhi previously. On December 14, the Delhi Police Special Cell identified a private school student as the sender of a bomb threat email to a Paschim Vihar school. The police traced the email to the student's home via the IP address. Upon being questioned, the student admitted to the act and was counseled, with his parents warned to monitor his behavior closely.

On December 13 and 17, numerous schools in Delhi were targeted with bomb threat emails, with one instance involving 30 schools on a single day. Investigations revealed that some emails originated from outside India, according to South East Delhi Deputy Commissioner of Police Ravi Kumar Singh.

Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal expressed grave concerns about the recurring threats, highlighting their potential impact on students' mental health and academics. He emphasized the need for urgent action to prevent further disruptions.

In response to these incidents, the Delhi High Court, on November 19, directed the Delhi Government and Police to formulate a comprehensive action plan, including a detailed Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), to handle such emergencies. The court set an eight-week deadline for the implementation of these measures.
