.Boeing has agreed to plead guilty to a criminal conspiracy charge of fraud after the US determined that the company breached an agreement aimed at reforming. it following two fatal crashes involving its 737 Max planes, resulting in the deaths of 346 passengers and crew. The Department of Justice (DoJ) stated that Boeing has also agreed to pay a criminal fine of $243.6 million (£190 million).
However, families of the victims from the flights five years ago have criticized the settlement as a "favorable deal" that would enable Boeing to evade full accountability for the fatalities. The settlement now awaits approval from a US judge.
