The Gajraj Corps successfully conducted a Military-Civil Fusion Seminar in Tezpur titled “Sonitpur SAMVAD,” an initiative focused on strengthening civil-military cooperation under the vision of “Samoohik Prayas Se Rashtranirman” and guided by the principle of “Rashtra Sarvopari.” According to an official statement, the acronym SAMVAD represents the initiative’s key values — Samanvay, Aatmanirbharta, Mansik Dridhta, Vishwas aur Vikas — reflecting the goals of Amritkaal with the motto “Dhyeya Sarvopari.”

The seminar brought together senior officials from the state administration and several major institutions, including the Vice Chancellor of Tezpur University, Inspector General of SSB, Inspector General of Sonitpur Range, Divisional Forest Officer, Deputy Inspector General of Police, representatives from the Bar Council and Municipality, members of Tezpur’s medical community and private hospitals, the Principal of the Skill Development Centre in Mangaldoi, Additional Deputy Commissioners of Tezpur and Missamari, along with other key stakeholders.

During the event, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Gajraj Corps highlighted the importance of JAI — Jointness, Aatmanirbharta, and Innovation — as the foundation for building a secure, resilient, and future-ready India aligned with the vision of #ViksitBharat2047. The GOC also stressed the need for coordinated efforts, institutional synergy, and timely execution of achievable objectives to strengthen national development and regional resilience.

In a notable move to deepen civil-military ties, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi Regional Institute of Mental Health (LGBRIMH) and Army hospitals under Gajraj Corps. The partnership is intended to promote comprehensive mental healthcare through clinical support, training, research, and community outreach initiatives. The release added that the initiative represents a significant step toward integrated development, stronger institutional collaboration, and collective nation-building, while also highlighting the importance of mental well-being.
