Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a bilateral meeting with Prince Alois, Hereditary Prince of Liechtenstein at Hyderabad House on Friday. India and the Liechtenstein established diplomatic relations in 1993, with India’s Ambassador to Switzerland also serving as the Ambassador to the principality. According to an official statement from the Ministry of External Affairs, the year 2023 marked the 30th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two nations.

Prime Minister Modi presented the MANAV AI Vision at the AI Impact Summit 2026 and held multiple bilateral meetings with global leaders on the sidelines of the event to strengthen international cooperation. He met with Prime Minister Dick Schoof of the Netherlands, Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of Abu Dhabi, President Guy Parmelin of Switzerland, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis of Greece, and President Emmanuel Macron of France. Their discussions focused on enhancing collaboration in technology, trade, connectivity, and strategic sectors.

The India AI Impact Summit 2026, the first global AI summit hosted in the Global South, brought together policymakers, industry leaders, academics, and civil society representatives to discuss responsible AI governance and inclusive technological progress. During the summit, Prime Minister Modi introduced the MANAV vision for AI, emphasizing Moral and Ethical Systems, Accountable Governance, National Sovereignty, Accessible and Inclusive development, and Valid and Legitimate frameworks. He stressed that AI must operate within ethical boundaries, be governed transparently, respect data ownership, remain accessible to all, and function within lawful and verifiable systems.

The Prime Minister stated that India’s MANAV vision would play a key role in ensuring that AI contributes to humanity’s welfare in the 21st century. Addressing the Leaders’ Plenary Session, he said the summit would help build a human-centric and responsible global AI ecosystem. He also emphasized that AI should be inclusive, with the priorities of the Global South at the core of governance.

Highlighting ethical considerations, he said AI must balance innovation with responsibility, ensuring that profit aligns with purpose. He proposed three key measures for ethical AI use: establishing a trusted global data framework, implementing transparent safety mechanisms, and embedding human values into AI systems. He concluded by noting that AI should serve as a shared resource for the benefit of humanity.
